The BNP Paribas International Hackathon encompasses 3 steps:
1/ the Week-end,
2/ the Digital Boot-camp, where startups will be able to call upon the know-how of BNP Paribas experts so as to optimise their chances of success. After this 5 month period, teams will present their projects to an international jury at the international Demo Day… to enter, maybe, the phase
3/ the Prototyping period in order to implement their solution within the BNP Paribas Group.
Birdee, startup incubated at lux future lab was winning the hackathon at BNP Paribas Fortis in Belgium.
Birdee wants to give the best of both worlds: the simplicity and availability of a savings account with a return that only the best funds can generate. Algorithms, deployed over the last years, have been combined in a fully automated solution. The result is a very unique digital investment discretionary solution for both individuals and banks. In addition, Birdee offers robo-advisory built as a client-centric service. It includes a social dimension by lettingallowing clients to invest in themes that matter to them. It will guide investors through a simple and intuitive interface, with no jargon and no hidden fees.

This hackathon is already the 2nd edition of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon and took place on the week-end of June 20th. 96 startups from San Francisco, London, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Berlin, Warsaw and Istanbul competed to create solutions around the theme: “Streamlining the Customer Journey through co-creation with startups.”
Teams including both startups and experts from different divisions of the Group, were all interconnected simultaneously, to develop solutions for the benefit of clients.
