Open House at lux future lab
For the first time, lux future lab opened its doors to the public. BGL BNP Paribas invited its entrepreneur clients to the first Business Angels’ Day to discover lux future lab’s startups and their activities ranging from FinTech, Social Media to Health Care and ICT Security. The curious of the startup economy or potential investors could learn about business angels and meet the startups of lux future lab on a lab discovery tour.
The event has been a big success; more than 200 attendees checked in at lux future lab. Guests were invited to walk through the building, check into conferences, startup pitches and visit individual companies in their offices. On their way, they could taste some of the great products of the kitchen lab!
The event started at the Rez-de-Chaussée with Greetings from Mr Carlo Thill, Chairman of the Management Board of BGL BNP Paribas, Mr Pierre Gramegna, the Minister of Finance and Karin Schintgen, CEO lux future lab.
What does business angels’ investing actually mean? Is it a new asset class? What is the less divine side of business angels? After brief introductions by Alain Roderman (Expon Capital) about the Digital Tech Fund and Serge Rollinger (European Investment Fund) about EIF’s new program on startup investment, the floor was open for Philippe Dardart, Head of Diversification at BGL BNP Paribas and Alexander Stoeckel from b-to-v to talk about the dark and divine sides of investing into the startup economy.
During the same time on the first floor, lux future lab’s startups gave 3 minutes pitches in order to gain the attention of the audience and present their innovative solutions in payment, lending, regulation, driving, marketing, etc.
The evening finished with an exceptional desert, The Tartelette Mr Smith, a creation by Philippe Rigollot, Meilleur Ouvrier de France!
